Varonis expands data security to cover ServiceNow
Varonis Systems has announced the extension of its data security coverage to include ServiceNow.
The integration aims to continuously discover and classify critical data within ServiceNow and address issues related to data risk and overexposure. ServiceNow, a cloud IT Service Management platform, is utilised for handling crucial business data spanning various functions from IT operations to human resources, marking it as a significant target for cyber attackers. The extensive customisation features of ServiceNow can sometimes lead to misconfigured access controls, thereby potentially exposing sensitive data.
Varonis provides a unified view into data irrespective of its location, offering IT and security teams enhanced visibility to bolster cloud data security. Varonis for ServiceNow is designed to discover and safeguard sensitive data found in structured formats such as fields and tables as well as in unstructured data like logs, emails, service tickets, and attachments. This allows organisations to identify and rectify security issues before they manifest into incidents.
The coverage for ServiceNow represents the latest enhancement to Varonis' data security solutions. Recently, Varonis also expanded its services to include Google Cloud and Databricks, alongside introducing automated remediation functionalities for Salesforce. These developments underscore the company's commitment to assist customers in reducing cloud data security risks and thwarting cyberattacks through a unified platform.
Brian Vecci, Field CTO at Varonis, remarked, "Every cloud solution is unique, and piecemeal security approaches create vulnerabilities that attackers can exploit to steal your critical data. Varonis takes the complexity out of securing sensitive ServiceNow data, while providing one centralized place to manage posture and policies across all your SaaS applications and cloud services."
