Rimini Street has launched Rimini Govern for AI, a managed service for governing AI agents. It is aimed at organisations seeking central oversight of AI agent activity across enterprise systems.

The offering sits within the company's Rimini Govern portfolio of governance, risk and compliance products and is available immediately. It is delivered through Rimini Street's Global Command Centres around the clock by AI engineers.

Rimini Govern for AI is designed to give companies a single operational layer for monitoring agent activity, workflows, security events, compliance status, performance metrics and cost data. It also helps organisations restrict agents to authorised actions, enforce governance and security guardrails, and intervene when problems emerge.

The launch comes as businesses push AI tools beyond pilot projects into wider operational use. That shift has raised questions about how companies track agent behaviour, manage security risks, measure costs and prove returns on AI spending.

Rimini Street presented the new service as a response to what it called a widening control gap in enterprise AI. Many organisations, it argued, are dealing with fragmented monitoring tools, uneven governance across departments and limited visibility into how AI agents perform in production environments.

The service includes root-cause analysis and remediation support for issues affecting AI-enabled workflows and business processes. This is intended to reduce disruption and maintain stability when agents fail or operate outside approved parameters.

Three-phase rollout

The product follows a three-stage deployment model. The first phase focuses on assessing a client's AI goals, governance priorities and operational readiness. The second covers implementation tasks such as discovering agents across selected systems, configuring access controls, and assessing the operational, financial and compliance effects of agent use. The third moves into ongoing operations, with continuous monitoring and support from Rimini Street's command centers.

Rimini Street said organisations can put the service into operation within weeks. It is positioning the product for large enterprises and organisations operating in regulated or security-sensitive environments.

The launch also expands the company's broader push into AI-related services around enterprise software. Rimini Govern for AI joins Rimini Agentworks, which focuses on AI agent design, testing and deployment, and Rimini Agentic UX, which is intended to sit on top of existing ERP systems and automate workflows using AI agents.

That gives Rimini Street a broader portfolio spanning development, deployment and governance, at a time when software suppliers and service providers are racing to define their place in corporate AI spending. The company has long been known for third-party support services for software from vendors including Oracle, SAP and VMware.

Seth Ravin, Chief Executive Officer of Rimini Street, described the new service as a way for customers to increase control over AI adoption in production settings.

"With Rimini Govern for AI, organizations can now confidently and securely deploy AI agents and scale AI agent operations with the oversight, control, visibility and measurement needed to accelerate adoption, measure ROI and achieve business outcomes that include reduced total operating costs, improved profitability and enhanced competitive advantage," Ravin said.

He added: "With more than twenty years of proven experience delivering global, ultra-responsive, mission-critical IT support to thousands of organizations around the world - including public sector, critical infrastructure and military clients with security-clearance requirements - Rimini Street is uniquely positioned to deliver industry-leading capabilities in global AI agent governance, security, compliance and interoperability."

Market pressures

The market for AI governance tools has grown as companies move from experimentation to routine operational use. Buyers are increasingly looking for products and services that can help document how AI systems behave, who can access them, what costs they generate and whether they meet internal and regulatory standards.

R "Ray" Wang, Chief Executive Officer of Constellation Research, said the need for oversight is becoming more urgent as deployments expand.

"As organizations move from AI experimentation to enterprise-scale adoption, they need trusted visibility, governance and control to deploy AI responsibly and securely," Wang said.

He added: "Customers want AI solutions to provide a centralized foundation for enterprises to secure, run, govern and measure AI effectiveness at scale. When you combine this with proven enterprise software support and deep process knowledge, global managed service capabilities 24/7/365 from Global Command Centres and expansive AI expertise, organizations can now operationalize AI with speed, cost-effectiveness and confidence. This is a no-brainer."

Rimini Street said the new service is intended to work across a range of AI tools, platforms and vendors, rather than being tied to a single software environment. It is also aimed at customers seeking clearer measurement of AI return on investment alongside governance and security controls.

The product extends Rimini Street's effort to broaden its role from software support into managed AI operations, with governance emerging as a key battleground as enterprises put more autonomous systems into live business processes.
