RedShield bolsters ties with AWS to offer advanced cybersecurity services
Tue, 28th Nov 2023

RedShield Security, based in Wellington, has strengthened its existing ties with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to offer enhanced cybersecurity services using DDoS protection along with Active Web Application Security services.

RedShield is a specialist web application cybersecurity company that revolutionises vulnerability management by enabling organisations to fix vulnerabilities and significantly diminish cyber risk. The RedShield solution accomplishes this in days, at a fraction of the cost compared to in-house efforts and without the need for development teams and access to code, even for legacy applications.

The latest initiative aims to improve skills among resellers, helping them manage contemporary cybersecurity threats more effectively. At events hosted by AWS and RedShield in Auckland and Wellington, local resellers had the chance to learn about modern threats, cybersecurity capabilities, and burgeoning opportunities.

Through the collaboration with AWS, RedShield can expand its security capabilities to tackle sophisticated AI-enabled DDoS and bot attacks. It also opens new revenue opportunities for resellers through the channel via AWS's Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Accelerate Program by leveraging their existing AWS ecosystem capacities and contracts.

Sam Pickles, Founder and CTO of RedShield, and Etienne Mnnich, Edge Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS, have developed two service plans that adjust to an organisation's needs and budgets. In addition, RedShield's strategy to 'find, fix, manage, and monitor' web application vulnerabilities assures resilience in critical business outcomes at only around 10% of the cost of building that capability in-house. RedShield guarantees that its services guard businesses against the most complex cyber assaults.

Fabian Partigliani, CEO of RedShield Security, says: "RedShield's security is proven, to that extent we guarantee our service outcomes against known vulnerabilities."

"we provide customers with the highest guarantees that our technology platform, along with our skilled team and processes, will substantially decrease the risk of a successful cyber attack," he assured.

According to Partigliani, the collaboration with AWS is of strategic importance. "Our security services integrate with AWS, that's a force multiplier. Using AWS's robust capabilities with our security services, empowers RedShield to scale internationally, strengthening our security suite against the advanced AI-enabled threats of today."

Echoing this sentiment, Tiffany Bloomquist, Country Manager and Head of AWS in New Zealand, notes: "Working with RedShield is a testament to AWS's commitment to cybersecurity, a commitment we all take seriously. Together, we are setting new benchmarks in protecting businesses from emerging threats and delivering services on our marketplace that both secure and keep companies ahead of malicious cybercriminals."

Regarding the initiative of the co-sell program, Partigliani elaborated, "Working together with AWS, RedShield has created a co-sell program for resellers to supercharge cybersecurity and create new revenue streams. We are helping local resellers add value, profitability, and exceptional security to their portfolios."
