New app launched to secure Exchange servers for free

Today

A new freemium application, Easy365Manager Freemium, has been launched to help small businesses mitigate vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange on-premises servers.

It is estimated that as of 2024, more than 100,000 Microsoft Exchange on-premises servers remain susceptible to critical exploits, notably the ProxyNotShell vulnerabilities. These security flaws enable attackers to execute remote code or increase privileges if they can gain authenticated access to the servers.

The introduction of Easy365Manager Freemium is aimed specifically at Microsoft 365 Hybrid tenants with up to 25 users. The new application is presented as a timely resource that offers an important defensive measure against the increasing cyberattacks aimed at on-premises Exchange servers.

On-premises Exchange servers are frequently targeted by hackers and ransomware groups due to their well-documented vulnerabilities. With various zero-day vulnerabilities being exploited on a global scale, numerous organisations are facing challenges in maintaining the security of these server environments.

Easy365Manager Freemium allows organisations to completely eliminate their on-premises Exchange servers, effectively reducing their attack surface and neutralising a prevalent entry point for cybercriminals.

Jonas Watt Boolsen, Chief Executive Officer of Easy365Manager, stated, "Security is the top priority for every organisation. Easy365Manager Freemium offers a simple but effective way to eliminate one of the biggest security vulnerabilities today—On-Premises Exchange servers. By removing this risk, we help users safeguard their data and ensure business continuity."

The new freemium service promises several benefits for organisations utilising it. It enables the removal of risks associated with on-premises Exchange server vulnerabilities, significantly reducing potential exposure to damaging ransomware attacks.

Financially, it promises cost savings for businesses by eliminating the expenses related to server resources, licensing, monitoring, backups, antivirus, patch management, IT staffing, and external consulting. These savings can amount to thousands annually.

In terms of efficiency, Easy365Manager Freemium claims to reduce first-level Microsoft 365 support time by 50-75% due to its user-friendly interface. This advantage means junior IT staff can address complex issues quickly, thereby allowing senior administrators to focus on strategic activities.

Easy365Manager Freemium is targeted at small businesses and startups. It is designed to support up to 25 users without any costs or obligations attached, promising to be free indefinitely.

The application is currently available for download, enabling small businesses, startups, and Microsoft 365 Hybrid tenants to begin securing their environments immediately.
