ManageEngine transforms Log360 into security analytics hub

ManageEngine, a division of Zoho Corporation, has announced that Log360 is evolving into a security analytics platform.

The transformation of Log360 into a platform aims to address the critical need for security that is adaptable and future-proof. This shift is seen as a way for enterprises, system integrators, and managed security service providers to tackle evolving threats more effectively, transforming SIEM from a cost-driven operation into a strategic asset.

The foundation for Log360's platformisation was laid last year with several significant enhancements. These included proactive threat intelligence capabilities, such as dark web monitoring powered by Constella Intelligence, and improved triad capabilities for faster alert analysis via enriched security events. Additionally, an enhanced correlation engine was developed for detecting complex threats.

ManageEngine's new platform offers several key features, including unified visibility with zero complexity, which simplifies threat identification, investigation, and response. This is achieved by consolidating disparate security data into a single view, thus streamlining resources.

The platform supports large-scale customisations through API-driven integrations, allowing MSSPs, SIs, and enterprises to optimise their security workflows according to unique challenges. This capability is intended to extend beyond standard roadmaps.

Log360's architecture allows for the accelerated integration of AI, machine learning, and other advanced technologies, ensuring the platform remains at the forefront of security innovations and helps enterprises rapidly detect and respond to threats.

The platform also supports a collaborative ecosystem that facilitates industry-specific threat intelligence sharing. This approach is aimed at smaller teams who can benefit from community knowledge, thereby enhancing incident response effectiveness. ManageEngine's Marketplace helps in making expertise and data connectors publicly accessible.

Log360 also boosts compliance agility, enabling rapid updates to address regulatory changes. This function is powered by Log360's developer ecosystem, which eliminates delays normally associated with traditional vendor upgrades.

In partnership with cybersecurity firm Sacumen, ManageEngine plans to further expand Log360's platform capabilities. Sacumen specialises in cybersecurity product engineering and services and will contribute by developing connectors to integrate Log360 with broader security ecosystems.

Log360 is available in both on-premises and cloud deployment models. The cloud version, Log360 Cloud, is offered in four editions: Basic, Standard, Professional, and MSSP, with pricing starting at $300 per year with 75GB of default storage and 90-days search retention. The on-premises deployment is priced from $1,540.
