Logicalis becomes first global partner for Cisco MXDR

Today

Logicalis has announced that it is the first global partner of Cisco to offer Cisco Extended Detection and Response (XDR) as a Managed Service.

This service, known as Managed XDR (MXDR), is part of Logicalis's Intelligent Security portfolio and aims to enhance the company's threat detection capabilities utilising AI-driven automation and global threat intelligence data.

Logicalis operates a global network of Security Operations Centres (SOCs) that manage its MXDR services. Equipped with up-to-date global threat intelligence, these centres ensure rapid detection, analysis, and response across digital infrastructures on a 24/7 basis.

The global launch of Cisco MXDR follows what Logicalis describes as their most significant security investment yet, including a 30% increase in staffing at its EMEA SOC to meet the growing demand for managed security services.

Commenting on the new offering, Toby Alcock, Chief Technology Officer at Logicalis, stated, "We're extremely proud to be the first partner offering Cisco MXDR globally as part of the expansion in our managed security services. As security threats escalate against a backdrop of the global skills shortage, we focus on removing both these headaches from our customers. Through our SOC, they can leverage industry-leading expertise and solutions tailored to their digital environment through one unified platform."

Alcock also emphasised the importance of partnerships and ongoing investments, adding, "Our commitment to developing our partnerships and ongoing investments ensures our customers have access to unparalleled security solutions wherever and whenever needed, building their defences against bad actors."

Andrew Sage, Vice President of Global Partners and Distribution Sales at Cisco, shared his enthusiasm, saying, "We are very excited about the value Cisco and Logicalis are able to bring to our shared customers with their new MXDR offer. With Cisco XDR built into Logicalis's global service, we are able to provide our mutual customers with an improved ability to quickly and effectively identify and respond to security threats."

Logicalis has also noted the outcome of its 2024 CIO report, which surveyed 1,000 Chief Information Officers globally. The report revealed that 83% experienced cyber-attacks in the last year, but only 43% felt prepared for another breach.

To assist CIOs who are managing multiple priorities, Logicalis's Intelligent Security services aim to provide comprehensive guidance and support to help navigate today's complex security landscape.
