Illumio unveils AI-powered cloud detection & response tool
Illumio has launched Illumio Insights, a cloud detection and response (CDR) solution powered by an AI security graph.
Illumio Insights forms a significant part of Illumio's broader breach containment strategy. It is designed to observe and protect workloads and resources across hybrid and multi-cloud environments by providing enhanced visibility into an organisation's traffic, flows, and connections. The new solution identifies risks throughout the connected landscape.
The tool is aimed at security operations centre (SOC) analysts, incident responders, and threat hunters, providing them the ability to uncover hidden risks by analysing all flows and connections.
Illumio Insights helps detect risky, malicious, and anomalous activities by visualising dangerous traffic and prioritising risks of lateral movement across environments, which supports rapid detection and response at scale.
Among the key benefits of the new solution is its rapid deployment capacity, which allows for push-button, agentless deployment delivering insights powered by an AI security graph across millions of workloads in a short time. The tool enhances threat detection capabilities through AI observability, effectively reducing the mean time to detect threats (MTTD), and provides one-click containment for immediate risk neutralisation, thereby reducing the mean time to respond (MTTR).

The AI security graph underlying Illumio Insights allows it to process network flow and resource data at scale, automatically classifying traffic and identifying risks.
