Gigamon hailed as top value leader in 2024 EMA report

Today

Gigamon has been named the Value Leader in the 2024 Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) Radar Report for Network Visibility, recognised for its product strength and cost efficiency.

The company has been acknowledged as providing the best overall value among 13 vendors reviewed in the report.

Gigamon received the highest placement based on product strength and efficiency in deployment, administration, and cost, while also achieving "outstanding" designations in six categories.

The report highlights the company's perfect score of 100 for architecture and integration.

Chris Steffen, Vice President of Research at EMA, stated, "Gigamon solutions are designed to handle the increasing complexity and bandwidth demands of modern networks, empowering organisations to gain valuable insights and proactively identify potential threats."

"Building on the company's core network packet broker (NPB) products, Gigamon now delivers network-derived intelligence and insights to cloud, security, and observability tools via its deep observability pipeline, providing the highest level of network visibility available today to secure and manage hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure."

The report addresses the challenges of modern, complex networks and the need for visibility into encrypted traffic.

This visibility is essential for detecting and responding to potential security threats proactively. Additionally, resolving performance bottlenecks is highlighted as a means to improve network efficiency and reduce downtime.

The Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline consists of a range of network packet broker solutions.

This setup delivers network-derived intelligence and insights efficiently to various tools in the cloud, security, and observability landscapes. It aids organisations in eliminating security blind spots, optimising network traffic, and reducing related costs. These capabilities help organisations respond quickly to issues, uncover hidden threats, maintain compliance, and manage costs and complexity in their hybrid cloud infrastructures.

Shane Buckley, President and CEO at Gigamon, commented, "Network visibility is rapidly emerging as the leading cybersecurity priority amid AI-based cybersecurity threats, rising data centre tooling costs, and hybrid cloud complexity."

"The ability to gain unobscured visibility across all data-in-motion has become mission-critical in the current threat landscape, and the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline uniquely delivers the network-derived intelligence that SecOps, NetOps, and security leaders need to more effectively secure and manage their hybrid cloud infrastructure."

The 2024 EMA Network Visibility Radar Report evaluates vendors on several criteria, including deployment and administration effectiveness, cost advantages, architectural and integration capabilities, functionality value, and client market and scalability focus.

The report utilises a hybrid approach involving both public user sentiment analysis and forward-looking vendor visions, creating a comprehensive profiling of vendor strengths within the industry.
