Gallagher has received two awards at the New Zealand Outstanding Security Performance Awards, with Business Development Manager Harriet Sommerville named Outstanding Female Security Professional and its AccessNow platform recognised as Outstanding New Security Product.
The dual result gave Gallagher recognition in both an individual and product category at the New Zealand security awards. Sommerville was recognised for her contribution to the sector, while AccessNow was acknowledged as a new product in physical access management.
Gallagher said the awards reflected its work across leadership and product development in the local security market.
Harriet honoured
Sommerville received the Outstanding Female Security Professional award. Gallagher said she has more than 15 years of experience across manufacturing, distribution and integration.
The company said she has built a reputation for delivering results, addressing complex customer challenges and building long-term partnerships. It also said her work has contributed to raising standards across the New Zealand security sector.
"We are thrilled to celebrate Harriet's win, highlighting her outstanding contribution to raising standards across New Zealand's security sector," said Wayne Scott, General Manager – NZ Sales, Gallagher.
Gallagher said Sommerville's career has spanned several parts of the security industry. It said that background has included manufacturing, distribution and integration roles before her current position in business development.
The company said her work has involved customer relationships and commercial engagement, with a focus on solving operational and security challenges for organisations.
"Harriet is one of the most respected and capable professionals in our industry," said Scott.
"She has an exceptional ability to understand customer needs, lead complex commercial conversations, and deliver value at every stage of the relationship," said Scott.
"Harriet leads with integrity, supports those around her, and raises the bar for what great partnership looks like. She is an outstanding ambassador for Gallagher and for the wider industry. This recognition is incredibly well deserved," said Scott.
Product award
Gallagher's second award went to AccessNow, which was named Outstanding New Security Product.
AccessNow is Gallagher's cloud-native software-as-a-service platform for physical access management. The company said it is designed to help organisations manage access across people, sites and systems.
Gallagher said the platform replaces manual and fragmented processes with automated workflows and policy-based controls. It said this can help organisations improve compliance, reduce administrative overhead and strengthen operational efficiency.
The company positioned AccessNow as a response to customer demand for a more scalable way to manage access in complex environments.
"AccessNow represents a major step forward in physical access management. We designed it to address a growing need among our customers for a smarter, more scalable way to manage access in complex environments. We're proud to be recognised for the innovation and customer focus behind its development," said Scott.
Dual recognition
The awards gave Gallagher recognition for both an employee and a product in the same programme. In one category, the company was recognised through Sommerville's contribution to the industry. In the other, it was recognised through a software platform focused on access management.
Scott said the outcome reflected the strength of Gallagher's people and its work with customers.
"The NZ OSPAs reflect the strength of our people and the partnerships we build with our customers every day. To see both Harriet and AccessNow recognised in this way is a proud moment for our team and a strong endorsement of the impact we are making in the market," said Scott.
