Gallagher Security has launched a visitor management solution powered by Kenai, to be offered to Gallagher channel partners and enterprise customers worldwide.

The launch follows Gallagher Security's strategic investment in Kenai and its appointment earlier this year as the platform's exclusive global distributor.

Integrated with Gallagher's Command Centre site management platform, the new system is designed to manage visitors, staff and workplace operations through a cloud-native service. It is aimed at organisations operating across multi-tenant sites and campus environments.

Workplace data

The system records check-ins, induction completions, asset declarations and bookings as structured data. That information can then be used to give organisations a live view of workplace activity.

Gallagher says the product is intended to support compliance processes, emergency response, and decisions on facilities and assets. The launch forms part of a broader effort to extend the role of security systems into workplace management.

Mark Junge, Chief Executive, Gallagher Security, outlined that position in comments accompanying the launch.

"Gallagher is focused on the expanded value that security infrastructure can unlock for our customers. Kenai is a natural extension of that. We're excited to bring this Visitor Management Solution to our global network," said Mark Junge, Chief Executive, Gallagher Security.

Platform scope

According to its founders, Kenai's platform has been developed to handle more than front-desk sign-ins. Through the integration with Gallagher's system, users can manage visitor and employee movement, inductions, evacuations, asset management and space bookings in a single environment.

That combined approach reflects a wider trend in physical security and workplace software, as suppliers seek to connect access control systems with operational tools used across offices, campuses and shared sites. For customers, the appeal often lies in reducing the number of separate systems used to monitor people, spaces and equipment.

Rob Salzwedel, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Kenai, said the arrangement with Gallagher expands the platform's reach.

"Kenai was built to extend well beyond the sign-in screen. Integrated with Gallagher's solution, organisations get a single ecosystem that handles visitor and employee flows, inductions, evacuations, asset management and space bookings, all connected and visible in one place," said Rob Salzwedel, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Kenai.

Channel strategy

The launch also gives Gallagher another software-led product to distribute through its established global channel. Security companies have increasingly sought to add workplace and facilities functions to their access control offerings to deepen customer relationships and generate more recurring software revenue.

For Kenai, the deal provides access to Gallagher's international customer base and partner network. It also embeds the platform within a widely used security management system, which may make adoption simpler for organisations already using Gallagher products.

Stephen Bydawell, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder, Kenai, said the combination of the two businesses could help customers move from basic visitor processes to broader workplace oversight.

"The combination of Gallagher's global scale and channel strength with Kenai's platform depth creates something genuinely unique in the market. Customers get a clear pathway from streamlined visitor management to running a connected, data-driven workplace across distributed sites," said Stephen Bydawell, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder, Kenai.

The system is now available globally through Gallagher's channel partners and directly to enterprise customers.
