Gallagher Security celebrates double win at NZ Security Awards

Gallagher Security has received two awards at the 2025 New Zealand Security Awards for the achievements of its employees in customer service and technical expertise.

Steve Cooke, Sales Manager at Gallagher Security, was named Customer Champion of the Year. Cooke's career spans over 40 years in the security industry, including more than 20 years with Gallagher Security. He is regarded by clients across some of New Zealand's most complex and high-profile sites for his technical skills and customer-focused approach.

Wayne Scott, General Manager - New Zealand Sales at Gallagher Security, commented on Cooke's recognition.

"This award is a testament to Steve's unwavering commitment to putting customers first. Steve has an exceptional ability to apply technology in ways that deliver real value, helping customers feel supported every step of the way."

Cooke reflected on the honour, highlighting the importance of relationships in the sector. Recognition for technical skill

Hennie Lombard, Sales Solutions Engineer at Gallagher Security, received the Design and Support Electronic Sector Professional of the Year award. Lombard has been with Gallagher for over a decade and is known for delivering solutions to some of the country's most demanding security requirements. His work has included designing multi-server architecture for law enforcement and rolling out system upgrades in the education and utilities sectors.

Wayne Scott also acknowledged Lombard's award, stating, "Hennie exemplifies excellence in our industry. He doesn't just provide solutions, he takes ownership of challenges and ensures customers are fully supported from start to finish."

Lombard responded to the recognition by emphasising the collective effort behind successful projects. "Every project is an opportunity to push the boundaries of what's possible. I always want our customers to feel confident that no matter how complex the challenge, we'll find a way to deliver. Receiving this award is humbling, and it's a reflection of the incredible teamwork at Gallagher Security and the strong partnerships we've built with our customers."
