Gallagher introduces the future-ready Controller C7000 Enhanced in NZ

Wed, 16th Oct 2024

Gallagher Security has announced the release of its new Controller C7000 Enhanced, an addition to its controller product range.

The Hamilton, New Zealand-based company introduced the C7000 Enhanced less than a year after the award-winning Controller 7000 was launched.

Jim Rayner, Value Owner at Gallagher, who led the production of the C7000 Enhanced, expressed enthusiasm about the new product. "We're excited to bring the C7000 Enhanced to market and to continue building out this product range based on the feedback of our Channel Partners and End Users. The C7000 Enhanced is a future-proof solution, designed for those that want more."

Rayner further elaborated on the company's vision and commitment. "The C7000 Enhanced represents our commitment to innovating and engineering with our customers in mind. Utilising their feedback, we continue to push the limits of cybersecurity to offer solutions built with our customers' current and evolving needs at the fore."

Building upon the precedent set by the original C7000, released in November 2023, the new variant offers increased reliability, redundancy, and resilience. It aims to enhance cybersecurity measures for its users.

For sites aiming to future-proof their network, the C7000 Enhanced includes features such as Gigabit Ethernet, network redundancy with two independent ethernet ports, and advanced protection elements, including an in-service relay, temperature sensor, and eFuses. It also provides a serial port to accommodate alarm dialler or third-party system connections.

The C7000 Enhanced is designed to address contemporary cyber defence needs with advanced hardware capable of securely managing cryptographic keys and certificates. The product offers robust protection against firmware attacks within the supply chain and aligns with future technological advancements.

Gallagher's IP-based controllers, including the C7000 series, cater to many security and automation needs. These include localised access control, intruder alarms, perimeter security, and business automation, enhancing an organisation's operational logic capabilities.

The C7000 Product Range can operate independently from the Command Centre server, ensuring seamless responses to events, site safety, and operational continuity. Its scalable system design allows it to expand from single-door systems to global networks capable of integrating up to 10,000 controllers per server.

Since its release, the C7000 Standard variant has enjoyed a successful year, earning accolades such as the Outstanding New Security Product award at the New Zealand Security Awards and the India and South Asia Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs).

The introduction of the C7000 Enhanced reflects Gallagher Security's ongoing commitment to innovation in the security sector. With advanced features designed to meet contemporary cybersecurity challenges, this product aims to provide enhanced reliability and scalability for organisations seeking robust security solutions. As Gallagher continues to develop its product range, the focus remains on aligning with customer needs and industry standards to support effective security management.
