Gallagher & Advancis unify security to boost control & flexibility
Gallagher Security has established a strategic partnership with Advancis to unify security management across complex organisational environments.
The collaboration brings together Gallagher Security's access control platform, Command Centre, with Advancis' open integration platform, WinGuard. The two companies aim to provide organisations with more comprehensive and flexible security management tools by integrating their technologies.
Combining expertise
WinGuard, developed by Advancis, is an open integration platform that consolidates multiple security, building and communication systems into a single interface. The platform currently offers more than 550 adapter drivers, highlighting its compatibility with a wide range of systems in the market.
Gallagher Security's Command Centre is an access control solution that manages security functions such as door control, alarms, and restricted zones. The integration of Command Centre with WinGuard is designed to enable organisations to manage real-time state synchronisation and control of key access control components. This is facilitated via a secure, TLS-encrypted REST API connection between the two platforms.
The companies state that this level of synchronicity is intended to strengthen resilience in sectors where maximum security is required, including finance, administration, transport, healthcare, logistics, data centres, and critical infrastructure.
Customer focus
"Partnering with Advancis demonstrates our dedication to building strong, strategic alliances that give our customers greater flexibility and control. Advancis' open integration approach complements Gallagher's own commitment to interoperability, and together we can offer end customers a powerful, tailored security ecosystem. This is another example of how Gallagher is expanding its presence in Europe by partnering with market leaders who share our vision of customer-led innovation," says Spencer Marshall, Executive Vice President – Europe at Gallagher Security.
Advancis has a track record extending over three decades as an independent software house and is recognised internationally for its vendor-neutral approach. WinGuard's capability to bring together disparate systems is seen as central to the company's market position.
The technical integration allows operators to monitor and control access functions across their facilities, benefitting from greater visibility, expedited alarm handling, and more streamlined operational workflows.
Integration details
"Integrating Gallagher Command Centre into WinGuard extends the end users' ability to unify diverse systems in a single interface. Through secure, real-time synchronization, operators can monitor and control key access functions while benefiting from enhanced visibility, faster alarm handling, and streamlined workflows. Together with Gallagher, Advancis ensures a reliable, future-ready integration that simplifies operations and strengthens security for our customers," David Teppe, Head of Strategic Alliances at Advancis, elaborates.
The partnership allows direct integration without the need for additional middleware or bespoke connection solutions. By leveraging secure API communication, organisations can prioritise security while reducing potential system complexity.
Both companies are targeting clients requiring high degrees of customisation and control, as well as those with existing systems in place that need integration into a unified management interface. This approach, they note, enables end users to adopt solutions that fit with current technological environments rather than being constrained by proprietary limitations.
Industry sectors
Gallagher Security and Advancis both supply products and services that are deployed internationally in a range of settings, including government agencies, commercial sectors, healthcare, and transport. Their emphasis on open integration and interoperability reflects trends in these industries towards unified management systems capable of responding to increasingly complex security challenges.
The integration is marketed as being suitable for organisations looking to both modernise existing security infrastructure and lay the foundation for further digitalisation in facility management and critical infrastructure protection.
Advancis is expected to present at Integrate 2025, where it will be joined by other technology partners to demonstrate integrated solutions alongside Gallagher Security.
