Gallagher forum brings WA security professionals together

More than 70 security professionals from across Western Australia gathered in Perth for the Gallagher Security Western Australia Security Forum.

The event brought together Channel Partners, End Users, Consultants and Technology Partners to discuss developments affecting the security sector. Discussions focused on the challenges organisations face as security requirements become more complex, as well as opportunities to improve how security technologies are deployed and managed.

The forum also provided an opportunity for professionals from different parts of the security ecosystem to exchange experiences and discuss operational requirements.

"One of the biggest takeaways from this year's forum was seeing so many people come together to share knowledge, ask questions, and have genuine conversations about security," said Paul Gordon, Sales Manager – Western Australia, Gallagher Security.

Industry trends

The programme included presentations from Gallagher's Scott Johnstone, Director of Sales – Australia, Dean Matheson, National Technical Manager, and Andrew Myssonski, High Security and Federal Manager.

Sessions covered emerging security trends, integrated security solutions, critical asset protection and developments in security technology.

The discussions addressed how organisations are managing security requirements across different environments. They also examined how security platforms and technologies can be brought together to support operational needs.

Gallagher also presented sessions covering upcoming developments from the company. These focused on ways organisations can simplify security operations and increase the value they derive from their security investments.

The focus on integration reflects the increasing role of connected technologies in security deployments. Organisations can combine products from different technology providers to support areas such as access control, video management and other security functions.

Technology partners

Technology Partners at the forum included Alcolizer, ASSA ABLOY, Milestone Systems, Salto Systems and Traka.

The companies demonstrated their respective security technologies and discussed how integrated products can be used within broader security environments.

The demonstrations provided attendees with an opportunity to examine how different systems can work together rather than operate as isolated platforms.

Integration can be particularly relevant for organisations managing complex security environments. Bringing multiple technologies together can allow security teams to manage more functions through connected systems while supporting existing operational processes.

The forum also created opportunities for Channel Partners, End Users, Consultants and Technology Partners to discuss practical experiences outside the formal presentations.

The event formed part of Gallagher's wider engagement with security professionals and partners in Western Australia.

The company said the forum was intended to support continued discussions between organisations involved in the design, supply, deployment and use of security systems.

The range of attendees reflected the different roles involved in security projects. Channel Partners and Technology Partners contribute products and services, while Consultants can advise organisations on security requirements and system design. End Users provide the operational perspective on how those systems are deployed and managed.

The forum also highlighted the role of security events in bringing those groups together to discuss developments affecting the market.

Gallagher said it plans to continue working with its partners across Western Australia following the forum.
