Aon & SentinelOne team up to battle cyber threats

Fri, 12th Jul 2024

Cybercrime continues to escalate, with projections indicating that the global cost of breaches will reach USD $23.84 billion by 2027. In response, organisations are increasingly turning to cyber insurance as a safeguard against financial harm and brand damage. In light of these rising challenges, Aon and SentinelOne have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing cyber insurance processes.

As part of this collaboration, Aon will leverage the SentinelOne Singularity platform to better profile risk for underwriting and provide more visibility into insurability drivers. This partnership aims to arm insurers with real-time, verified data, enabling more informed decision-making while reducing overall risk. Additionally, organisations seeking insurance can benefit from assistance in remediating vulnerabilities or security issues before undergoing the underwriting process. This could potentially speed up approval or renewal times and secure discounts.

SentinelOne, a prominent AI-powered security company, and Aon, a global professional services firm, will combine their expertise to further enhance their clients' ability to manage and mitigate cyber risks. SentinelOne will support Aon in its cyber brokerage process through Aon’s proprietary Cyber Quotient Evaluation (CyQu) platform as well as its Stroz Friedberg global Incident Response service. This ensemble of services and tools aims to provide organisations with comprehensive capabilities to proactively defend against, detect, and swiftly respond to cyber incidents.

"This alliance fortifies the shared capabilities of two leaders in the cybersecurity space and marks a significant milestone in our collective mission to combat evolving cyber threats with unparalleled expertise and innovative solutions," stated Christopher Bruno, Head of Strategic Alliances, Cyber Solutions at Aon. "Bringing together SentinelOne's AI-powered threat detection and response technology with Aon's extensive experience in managing and guiding clients through the most complex of breaches will empower clients to navigate the challenging threat landscape with confidence and resilience." The combined solution promises to enhance the placement process with more verifiable risk data that prioritises remediation activities and improves organisations' security posture.

Barnaby Page, VP of IR and Cyber Risk at SentinelOne, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, "SentinelOne is thrilled to collaborate with Aon on risk mitigation initiatives that will save time and money for our clients. Aon's proactive CyQu self-attestation platform and incident response services, based on the SentinelOne Singularity Platform, can improve validation of cyber exposures for our mutual clients."

The partnership between Aon and SentinelOne underscores a significant development in the strategic cyber services sector, allowing organisations to better manage and mitigate their cyber risks with advanced, data-driven solutions. Both companies aim to provide enhanced visibility into risk assessment and a more streamlined process for securing cyber insurance, thus addressing the growing challenges of the cyber threat landscape.
