TrendAI has named Anglicare Victoria a winner in its global Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2026, with the Australian social services provider taking out the Ambassador category.

The award recognises Anglicare Victoria's work to promote stronger cybersecurity practices across its community and the wider industry.

Anglicare Victoria supports tens of thousands of children, young people and families each year and operates more than 96 sites across Victoria. In recent years, the organisation has been undertaking a broader technology transformation to improve services for clients and support frontline staff.

As part of that work, Anglicare Victoria has adopted TrendAI's Vision One platform to help manage risk and strengthen cyber resilience across its environment.

The recognition comes as cyber risk has become more acute for organisations handling sensitive personal information. In Australia, the healthcare and social assistance sector recorded the highest number of reported cybersecurity incidents in the non-government sector, according to the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Annual Cyber Threat Report 2025-26.

That context is particularly relevant for Anglicare Victoria, which works with vulnerable communities and handles significant volumes of sensitive client data while delivering out-of-home care and other support services.

The awards recognise organisations around the world for cybersecurity leadership as artificial intelligence reshapes the threat landscape. The program spans five categories covering organisational leadership, new approaches to security, long-term strategy, operational defence and the use of AI in cybersecurity.

Dean Mills, Director - Information Technology Services at Anglicare Victoria, said: "This award recognises the commitment our teams have made to strengthening cyber resilience and staying ahead of an evolving threat landscape whilst driving our innovative agenda. Anglicare Victoria is proud to partner with TrendAI to protect our organisation, our people and the communities we serve through an intensive, focused collaborative partnership that focuses on 'what's next' amid the unpredictability of the cyber landscape."

Srujan Talakokkula, Managing Director, ANZ & Pacific at TrendAI, said: "We're incredibly proud to see our Australian customer Anglicare Victoria recognised in this year's Cybersecurity Excellence Awards. With TrendAI Vision One, Anglicare Victoria has strengthened its cyber defences, improved risk management and enhanced its ability to detect and respond to threats in real time. This recognition reflects its commitment to protecting sensitive information and ensuring the continued delivery of essential services to vulnerable communities."

Global winners

Other winners in the Ambassador category included Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. In the Innovator category, the winners were Sun Chemical, Taiwan Mobile, MITSUI SUMITOMO INSURANCE Agency Service and Qassim University.

Pegasystems and SoftBank were recognised in the Visionary category. Cyber Defender winners were Keller ISD, Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Servico de Salud de las Baleras and Frende Forsikring.

In the AI Trailblazer category, the winners were Dole Food Company, Pets at Home and International SOS Assistance UK Limited.

The inclusion of an Australian social services provider among the winners highlights how cybersecurity recognition is extending beyond traditional technology-led sectors. It also underlines the pressure on charities, care providers and public-facing community organisations to strengthen digital safeguards as service delivery becomes more dependent on connected systems and shared data.

Anglicare Victoria's award places a social services organisation alongside insurers, telecommunications groups, universities, food companies and public sector bodies.
