Absolute Security acquires Syxsense to boost resilience platform

Absolute Security has announced its acquisition of Syxsense, a company known for innovation in automated endpoint and vulnerability management. The integration of Syxsense will allow Absolute Security to enhance its Cyber Resilience platform, which is embedded in the firmware of 600 million PCs worldwide. This platform provides remote visibility, control, and automated repair for PC fleets, applications, and security controls, ensuring comprehensive protection against threats and vulnerabilities from the moment devices are powered on.

Christy Wyatt, CEO of Absolute Security, expressed her perspective on the acquisition: "Fundamental problems in applications and operating systems are continuing to cripple businesses, despite the billions of dollars spent to defend against advanced threats. Syxsense brings several advanced features to the Absolute Cyber Resilience platform, including automated patch management, vulnerability remediation, and custom workflow automation. These capabilities aim to ensure comprehensive, risk-aligned patching across all platforms, provide proactive and automated remediation for vulnerabilities, and empower teams to build and deploy tailored security workflows quickly. With the integration of Syxsense, Absolute Security can now offer a more robust and comprehensive set of resilience capabilities. The acquisition positions Absolute Security to expand its global presence and competitive positioning in the markets of Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and Vulnerability Management, both of which are projected to be worth a combined USD $35 billion by 2027. This is in addition to the estimated USD $40 to $50 billion value of the endpoint security market. Wyatt emphasised the importance of this development by noting, "Our unique platform provides a pre-installed safety net that helps ensure compliance, integrity, and recovery, even from widespread incidents involving faulty updates."

Existing customers and partners of Syxsense will continue to receive full support for their current deployments, while Absolute Security customers will have the opportunity to integrate Syxsense’s endpoint and vulnerability management capabilities into their systems. This integration aims to deliver a resilient endpoint security solution that enhances visibility, control, connectivity, and self-healing for applications and security controls across an organisation.
