Wiz & The Instillery team up for APAC cloud security push

Yesterday

Wiz and The Instillery have announced a new partnership to promote the adoption of Wiz's Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The Instillery, recognised as an early adopter of public cloud technology, has been collaborating with clients since 2013 to harness the advantages of cloud-native capabilities.

Jeremy Nees, Chief Operating Officer at The Instillery, noted the complex relationship between cloud technology and security. "Cloud and security have not always been synonymous, although they really should be," said Nees.

"Public cloud offers a plethora of controls that allow granular configuration and monitoring of your security platforms. But sometimes that is the problem - it is easy to go build something on cloud, but having the capability to secure it can be an entirely different story. Wiz flips this picture, and makes securing the cloud much simpler and quicker."

Founded in 2020, Wiz has experienced considerable growth. As of the end of 2024, its valuation had significantly increased, and its annual recurring revenue had exceeded USD $350 million. The demand for robust security solutions in the CNAPP sector illustrates customers' priority on securing cloud platforms.

Budd Ilic, Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand, commented on this growth: "As cloud and AI adoption increase, organisations the world over must secure these environments without slowing their rate of innovation. Wiz is fortunate to work with some of Australia and New Zealand's top cloud businesses and leading brands. We have focused on growing our headcount in the region and partnering with amazing companies like The Instillery to maintain our pace of innovation while continuing to put the customer at the centre of everything."

Nees further highlighted The Instillery's previous experience with cloud security implementations. "We've used different tools in the past and performed early cloud security implementations into banks, utilities and the SaaS sector," he said.

"Our team has been really impressed with the comprehensive nature of Wiz, plus the ease of use. Not only that but they are continually adding value to the platform with new offerings and strategic acquisitions. Wiz integrates with so many of your existing tools, and we can activate a proof-of-value in 15 minutes."

The objective of the partnership between Wiz and The Instillery is to swiftly enhance customers' cloud security frameworks by enabling their teams to gain visibility across various platforms and tools. The partnership is attracting interest from multiple sectors, including financial services, government, critical infrastructure, and software as a service (SaaS) segments.
