Wavelink announces new SIEM service in partnership with Laminar

Mon, 3rd Jun 2024

Wavelink, a prominent player in the provision of enterprise solutions to the channel, has unveiled a significant expansion of its services portfolio, commencing with an enhanced array of security operations (SecOps). Central to this expansion is the introduction of a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)-as-a-Service offering. This new service aims to broaden Wavelink's reach, serving both existing and prospective partners across Australia and New Zealand.

The expanded SIEM service is facilitated through a key partnership with Laminar, an information technology and communications specialist. In collaboration, Wavelink will integrate Laminar's SIEM-as-a-Service solution, branded as Lumenir. This collaborative approach involves Wavelink acquiring Lumenir offerings from Laminar, with Laminar subsequently executing these services on Wavelink's behalf.

Ilan Rubin, Chief Executive Officer of Wavelink, remarked on the company’s commitment to advancing the security capabilities offered to its partners. Rubin highlighted that, “Wavelink is dedicated to delivering advanced security options essential for organisations aiming to enhance their cybersecurity frameworks and offset the escalating security risks inherent in today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape.”

The integration of the SIEM-as-a-Service offering into Wavelink’s portfolio provides partners with critical resources to deliver real-time monitoring and analysis of security alerts generated by network hardware and applications. This immediate responsiveness is designed to facilitate the rapid identification of potential security threats, thereby reducing the risk of significant breaches. Additionally, the end customers of these partners will benefit from an augmented security posture capable of adapting to the multifaceted nature of contemporary cybersecurity threats.

Wavelink's initiative to expand its portfolio is crafted to assist partners in navigating the dynamic security challenges faced by modern businesses. This expansion is also indicative of the company’s enduring dedication to innovation and excellence within the cybersecurity domain. Rubin elaborated on this vision, stating, “Wavelink is bolstering its security offerings through continual growth and the expansion of its services via strategic alliances. By collaborating with leading vendors and service providers, Wavelink equips its partners with a competitive edge in the security market. The introduction of SIEM is merely the beginning of numerous new services that Wavelink intends to introduce, aimed at enhancing their market position and stimulating growth.”

The strategic partnership between Wavelink and Laminar, under the Lumenir SIEM-as-a-Service banner, will be heralded by a series of roadshows across Australia, conducted in collaboration with Fortinet. These events will offer attendees the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from Wavelink, Laminar, and Fortinet, providing a firsthand look at the expanded security solutions now available through Wavelink.
