Tumeryk & Carahsoft bring AI trust score to agencies

Tumeryk and Carahsoft have partnered to supply Tumeryk's AI Trust Score platform to US government agencies, giving public sector buyers access through Carahsoft's reseller network and contract vehicles.

As Tumeryk's Master Government Aggregator, Carahsoft will place the company's AI trust scoring and security posture management tools into procurement channels used by federal, state and local agencies. Those channels include NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V, The Interlocal Purchasing System and OMNIA Partners contracts.

The agreement comes as US agencies face growing pressure to show that artificial intelligence systems are secure, governed and measurable. Guidance from the White House, NIST, MITRE and the National Security Agency has increased scrutiny of how public bodies manage AI risk, transparency, compliance and operational oversight.

Tumeryk's platform is designed to assess and monitor AI systems across security, governance, privacy, compliance and operational integrity. Its approach allows organisations to assess AI risk without sending prompts or sensitive information to external services, a point likely to matter for government users handling confidential material.

The partnership reflects a broader shift in public sector technology buying as agencies move from broad AI policy discussions to operational controls and continuous monitoring. In practice, suppliers are being asked not only to provide AI tools but also to help agencies measure the risks those tools introduce.

Public sector push

Federal agencies have stepped up AI adoption while facing tighter expectations around cybersecurity and accountability. That has created an opening for vendors offering oversight tools, rather than only model development or deployment software.

Tumeryk has positioned itself around what it calls an AI Trust Score, intended to provide a measurable reading of the trustworthiness of AI systems. The company is also an official partner for the Cloud Security Alliance Risk Rubric V2 for assessing AI risks, linking its offering to an established external framework.

Carahsoft plays a familiar role in the government technology market as a distributor and aggregator for software vendors seeking access to public sector customers. Its model relies on reseller partners and contract vehicles that can shorten procurement cycles for agencies that prefer to buy through existing routes.

That structure can be important for younger technology firms seeking government buyers without building a large direct public sector sales operation. Through Carahsoft, Tumeryk gains access to a distribution and contracting framework already used across multiple parts of government.

Distribution route

For Carahsoft, the deal adds another specialist AI governance vendor to its broader public sector artificial intelligence portfolio. The company has built much of its position in government IT by bringing niche software providers into public frameworks and combining them with a large ecosystem of resellers and integrators.

Michael Adams, Program Executive for AI Solutions at Carahsoft, framed the partnership around agency demand for greater oversight of AI systems.

The companies are already working together on several public sector opportunities and pursuing federal contract engagements tied to Tumeryk's platform. That suggests the partnership is intended to move quickly beyond a channel announcement into active procurement efforts.

The practical question for agencies is whether trust scoring can become a standard part of AI governance rather than a specialist add-on. As departments expand their use of generative and agentic systems, the need for repeatable measures of risk may become more pressing, especially in mission-critical settings where failures can have operational or security consequences.
