SOCRadar launches Copilot AI to aid security teams

Today

SOCRadar has launched SOCRadar Copilot, an AI-powered cybersecurity assistant designed to enhance efficiency for security teams and automate routine security operations.

The company said that SOCRadar Copilot aims to provide security teams with assistance to streamline security processes and reporting, as well as help future-proof defenses against evolving threats. SOCRadar Copilot is designed to continuously learn and adapt, allowing security teams to operate proactively as cyber risks change over time.

The burden on cybersecurity professionals is rising in tandem with the growing complexity and number of threats facing organisations. According to industry statistics cited by SOCRadar, 70% of Security Operations Centre (SOC) teams report feeling emotionally overwhelmed by the volume of security alerts, while 55% express a lack of confidence in prioritising and responding to those threats. Concerns about stress and burnout are widespread in the sector, said the company, noting their potential impact on talent retention and productivity.

SOCRadar says Copilot's core features are aimed at reducing this pressure. It provides AI-powered assistance and insights available within the platform at any time, enabling instant answers and recommendations. The company also said that the assistant allows teams to configure smart workflows, so AI agents can automate tasks such as threat intelligence analysis that would previously have required significant manual effort.

A major function of SOCRadar Copilot is to automatically filter out irrelevant security alarms, which has the effect of prioritising significant threats for teams to address. This is intended to help security teams focus their attention on the risks that pose the greatest danger, reducing the overall level of distraction from false positives.

SOCRadar described Copilot as a dynamic partner for cybersecurity teams, able to stay ahead of emerging risks through continuous learning based on the latest threat intelligence. The assistant is designed to accelerate security operations by prioritising critical information, reducing manual workloads, and improving decision-making, according to the company.

Copilot consists of three key elements. The first is an AI Assistant Chatbot, which can offer support in areas such as strategy, analysis, vulnerability information, and general knowledge. The second component, AI Insights Everywhere, integrates AI-driven insights into all areas of the platform, including alarm management, vulnerability response, dark web analysis, and supply chain risk management. The company provided the example of dark web monitoring, where AI helps analyse and summarise relevant findings, and alarm management, where it assists in prioritising alerts. The third component includes AI Agents capable of performing analytical tasks such as detecting phishing websites and correlating threat data with known attack vectors.

"Security teams often find themselves overrun with security alerts, which can make it hard to cut through the noise and prioritise the most important threats. SOCRadar Copilot is an industry game-changer for security teams that are often stretched thin by limited staff, expertise, and resources. By automating tasks, filtering alerts, and providing instant insights, SOCRadar Copilot maximises analyst efficiency and accelerates threat response," Huzeyfe Onal, Chief Executive Officer of SOCRadar, said.

SOCRadar Copilot will be offered in two commercial versions beginning in May. The Copilot Light model will be available at no cost and is aimed at providing platform training, assistance, and general support. The Copilot Pro version will feature advanced Agentic AI applications, making use of specialised Copilot AI Agents to address particular security problems.

SOCRadar provides threat intelligence and cybersecurity solutions to more than 35,000 clients in over 150 countries, with offerings including brand protection, dark web monitoring, and supply chain intelligence.
