Quorum Cyber adds Scott Burman to helm Advisory in strategic move

Quorum Cyber, one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity firms in the UK and North America, has announced the appointment of Scott Burman as Head of Advisory, setting to expand its team and enhance its global advisory services. Scott Burman, the new Head of Advisory, brings to Quorum Cyber over 25 years of professional experience in providing cybersecurity advisory in numerous sectors. Burman, a Chartered Engineer and former Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), as well as a Global Cyber Risk Advisor, has a broad background in advising customers from different industries on managing their cyber risk and resilience.

Burman's in-depth expertise encompasses advising global organisations and governments on improving their information security, enabling their growth and resilience. Over the years, Burman has demonstrated a strong capacity for board advisory work in the financial services sector, acting as a seminal technical advisory panel member for the UK Cyber Security Council.

Prior to joining Quorum Cyber, Burman held notable roles such as Global Head of Cyber Risk Advisory for NCC Group, senior advisor to the UK's National Cyber Security Programme and led his professional services consultancy company advising FTSE-100 clients.

Clive Cully, Director of Professional Services at Quorum Cyber, emphasised the importance of advisory services in improving customers' cybersecurity resilience and maturity, helping protect against cyber threats. He expressed his delight in welcoming Burman, a seasoned industry leader, to their Consulting and Professional Services practice, stating that "in his new role, Scott will develop and drive our global advisory services strategy as Quorum Cyber grows".
