Thu, 13th Jun 2024

Optic Security Group's Auckland team has been honoured with the Wesco Anixter Inner Range Integriti Project of the Year 2023 award. This accolade recognises the group’s dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence within the security industry.

The award-winning project, initiated in mid-September 2023, was executed for a key logistics provider. It involved designing and implementing an advanced security solution that included access control systems, intercoms, intruder detection, CCTV, and temperature-controlled storage monitoring. As the site has become fully operational, it has demonstrated remarkable success, showcasing the effectiveness of the implemented security measures.

Nik Boeinghoff, General Manager of Optic Security Group NZ, stated, "We are thrilled to receive this recognition. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. Special thanks go to Optic Auckland Estimator Bartho Huyser for designing the solution, Project Manager Ferdinand Foronda for expertly managing the installation, and everyone in our operations team for their invaluable contributions." Boeinghoff added that the award highlights the robust partnership between Optic Security Group and Wesco Anixter, underscoring their commitment to delivering top-notch security solutions. He also expressed gratitude for the continued support of their loyal clients in Auckland.

The recognition of Optic Security Group with the Wesco Anixter Inner Range Integriti Project of the Year 2023 signifies their technical expertise and ability to deliver complex security solutions on time while maintaining high standards. The project team’s innovative approach and meticulous attention to detail were instrumental in creating a robust security system tailored to the client’s needs.

The security project for the logistics facility incorporated a customised design to ensure maximum protection. The advanced access control system enables efficient management of entry and exit points, restricting access to authorised personnel only. The integration of intercoms and intruder detection systems enhances communication and offers immediate alerts in case of security breaches. High-definition CCTV cameras provide continuous real-time surveillance and recordings of the premises.

Optic Security Group’s dedication to excellence was evident throughout the project's lifecycle. From the design phase to the final installation and testing, the team ensured timely completion and upheld the highest standards. The collaborative approach and strong communication with the client contributed significantly to the success of the project.

The end user collaborated closely with Optic Security Group to assess options for future enhancements and operational efficiencies. They required a flexible, integrated security, access control, and video management solution that could connect with other third-party systems as the site evolved. They also sought remote visibility and management capabilities via web browsers and mobile devices. Considering their environmental health and safety regulations, sustainability, and future operational needs, they opted to expand and leverage the Inner Range Integriti system.

The project included a complex installation that maintained security for the 24/7 operational site. The transitioned Integriti system manages over 25 intruder inputs, 12 access doors and gates, and controls for more than 100 users. Current and future integration elements feature Gatekeeper software, fire alarm integration, Milestone video management from the Gatekeeper GUI, and provisions for wireless access control doors, lighting, HVAC control, and regional multi-site management.

This recognition marks a significant milestone for Optic Security Group, reinforcing its leadership in the security industry and its reputation for delivering innovative, reliable, and effective security solutions. Optic Security Group anticipates continuing its partnership with Wesco Anixter and other industry leaders to deliver advanced security solutions that ensure the safety and security of their clients’ assets and operations.
