Nerdio expands platform to manage full Microsoft 365 suite

Tue, 12th Nov 2024

Nerdio has announced the expansion of its Manager for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) platform to include full-management capabilities of the Microsoft 365 suite, enhanced by a new pricing model.

This expansion marks a shift from solely managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments to encompassing the entire Microsoft 365 suite, offering MSPs a streamlined approach to cloud management. Key features of the expanded capabilities include centralised management of Microsoft Teams settings, oversight of OneDrive and SharePoint file storage permissions, comprehensive management of Exchange Online email environments, and integrated identity management with Entra ID and Active Directory.

Further enhancing the security framework, Nerdio has become the first organisation in the MSP space to partner with the Center for Internet Security (CIS), providing CIS Intune Benchmarks for Windows 10 and Windows 11. The partnership aims to fortify client environments with robust security policies.

Vadim Vladimirskiy, Chief Executive Officer of Nerdio, commented on the launch, saying, "We're making it easier than ever for MSPs to manage their clients' cloud infrastructure in one place, while ensuring top-tier security and compliance. By integrating the full Microsoft 365 environment into Nerdio Manager for MSP and partnering with CIS, we're providing a comprehensive cloud management suite designed to simplify operations and enhance security."

Nerdio's collaboration with Microsoft aims to align with the technology giant's objectives for simplifying cloud management for smaller businesses. Jose Gomez Cueto, General Manager for Small and Medium Business at Microsoft, stated, "Nerdio's new Modern Work features align with Microsoft's goal of simplifying cloud management for Microsoft 365 for small and medium business customers, and the managed service providers who serve them. As organisations move to Azure with cloud-first strategies, Nerdio's tools offer the scalability and flexibility needed to easily manage Microsoft 365 applications, enhancing security and driving operational efficiency."

An updated pricing model accompanies the new features, offering a more flexible payment structure. MSPs can now choose a per-customer, or per-tenant pricing plan rather than the traditional per-user basis, potentially leading to more predictable and manageable costs.

Adam Atwell, Chief Technology Officer at Kite Technology Group, spoke on the benefits of Nerdio's new pricing model: "At Kite Technology Group, the new per-tenant pricing model has given us the flexibility to grow without worrying about costs scaling with each new user. The ability to manage our clients' entire Microsoft 365 environments with Nerdio Manager has simplified our operations and enabled us to focus on delivering a better service experience to our customers."

The new developments by Nerdio are expected to support Managed Service Providers in centralising and standardising their offerings in the cloud, reducing dependency on multiple legacy systems and applications while maintaining high security standards.
