HR Crowd appoints Murtuza Kharodawala to boost NZ solutions

Mon, 18th Aug 2025

HR Crowd has appointed Murtuza Kharodawala as Solution Architect in its New Zealand practice.

Depth of experience

Kharodawala joins HR Crowd with 19 years' experience at Capgemini and Deloitte, specialising in SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM. During his career, he has led complex HR system implementations across the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States, and is recognised for his end-to-end design and hands-on expertise. His arrival is intended to expand HR Crowd's architectural and functional consulting capabilities in New Zealand.

HR Crowd's appointment of Kharodawala reflects ongoing investment in delivering human capital management (HCM) solutions for both public and private sector organisations in New Zealand. The company positions this move as a step towards supporting enterprise clients facing large-scale and complex system change requirements.

Role and impact

Kharodawala will join the established architect Jim Bansuelo to further build the firm's local team and service offering. Together, they bring a range of skills to support organisations navigating system upgrades, cloud migration, and changes in compliance requirements. Their combined expertise covers the full range of SuccessFactors modules as well as local payroll integrations.

Kharodawala is known for a blend of technical and functional skills, particularly in high-compliance markets such as New Zealand, where knowledge of local legislation is a necessity for HR transformations. His track record includes delivering HR cloud transformations across industries including government, energy, infrastructure, mining, retail, and manufacturing, supporting organisations through recruitment management, employee onboarding, timekeeping, and payroll system design.

"I've always believed in building solutions that work for the long term," said Kharodawala. "That means challenging outdated processes, drawing on local and global best practices, and designing with the whole business in mind, not just a single module. HR Crowd gives me the space to do that hands-on alongside a high-calibre team."

Team development

The addition of Kharodawala is seen by the company as strengthening its position in the local market. Jim Bansuelo and Kharodawala together will offer expertise across both the core and talent modules of SuccessFactors, creating an offering suited to New Zealand organisations undertaking digital transformation of their HR and payroll functions.

Kelly Martin, HR Crowd's New Zealand Practise Director, commented on the appointment.

"Murtuza is an incredible addition to the team. He brings deep technical knowledge and practical experience of the New Zealand HR and regulatory landscape. Alongside Jim, he gives us an architecture capability few consultancies can match in-market."

Leadership perspective

Co-CEO Adrian Everett highlighted the strategic importance of the hire for HR Crowd's development.

"We're building a business that's laser-focused on capability. People like Murtuza are rare, not only for their experience, but for their drive to deliver meaningful, practical outcomes. His appointment bolsters both our local NZ offering and our global bench of solution architects."

Based in Auckland, Kharodawala will focus on helping organisations plan and execute HCM solutions that align with their business strategy and comply with regulatory requirements. He is expected to play a key part in furthering HR Crowd's expansion in New Zealand and supporting its portfolio of enterprise clients.

The firm's approach includes advisory services, system selection, and implementation, supporting clients throughout the HCM lifecycle in areas such as core HR, payroll, time management, and workforce planning.

Kharodawala's deep familiarity with both local and international environments is regarded as an advantage for organisations seeking to modernise their HR systems while maintaining compliance with New Zealand laws and standards.

The appointment underlines HR Crowd's stated commitment to growing its New Zealand practice and enhancing its delivery capability for current and future clients.
