Gallagher extends digital badge programme to APAC & IMEA

Today

Gallagher Security has announced the expansion of its Digital Badge programme across the Asia Pacific (APAC) and India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) regions.

Following its initial implementation across Australia and Papua New Guinea in 2023, the programme is now available to Channel Partners and End Users throughout the remaining areas of APAC IMEA. The initiative allows participants who complete Gallagher training courses to receive verified digital badges, which recognise their skills and achievements.

The Digital Badge programme functions in collaboration with Credly, a platform for credential recognition. Danielle Mitchell, Gallagher Security Training Manager for APAC and IMEA, comments, "We're excited to bring this recognition programme to technicians and End Users across APAC IMEA. It's a great way to celebrate their hard work and commitment to learning and development, while showing how Gallagher is here to support them every step of the way."

The badges serve as an electronic representation of accomplishment, embedded with metadata that conveys context, meaning, and results of activities. Easy to manage and verify in real time, these badges can be shared online, enhancing the visibility of skills and qualifications.

All badges, verified by Gallagher Security, include detailed information about the qualification process and the training completed by the participants. Achieving a badge requires completion of one of the company's designated Channel Partner or End User training courses.

The framework used by Credly is supported by the Open Badge Standards from IMS Global, enabling certifications that are manageable, shareable, and digitally verifiable.

Danielle Mitchell added, "The expansion of the Digital Badge programme demonstrates our continued commitment to delivering world-class training and workplace development opportunities that empower our Channel Partners and End Users, regardless of where they are located."

In the previous year, Gallagher trained 3,200 Channel Partners and End Users in the APAC IMEA region. The Digital Badge programme now provides them with a method to display their expertise and enhance their credibility within the industry.
