ESET recognised as Strategic Leader in AV-Comparatives report
Global cybersecurity company, ESET, has been recognised by AV-Comparatives as a 'Strategic Leader' in their 2023 Endpoint Prevention and Response (EPR) Comparative Report.
In a series of rigorous tests of ESET PROTECT Enterprise, the security software excelled above 11 other contenders in 50 real-world scenarios that tested capabilities in threat prevention and response.
The CyberRisk Quadrant, which forms part of the EPR results, takes into account factors such as product performance in breach prevention, calculated savings, as well as the cost of product purchase, operational accuracy, and workflow delay. The comprehensive testing process saw ESET PROTECT Enterprise 10.1, which includes ESET PROTECT and ESET INSPECT, proving its resilience and effectiveness against threats that pose a significant concern to enterprises, particularly by curbing threats before they could infiltrate organisational networks.
AV-Comparatives, an independent organisation that endeavours to ascertain whether security software lives up to its promises. With one of the most extensive sample collections globally, it creates a real-world environment for genuine and accurate testing, offering freely accessible results to the public, news organisations, and scientific institutions.
"Being named a Strategic Leader in the 2023 EPR Comparative Report makes us immensely proud," says Chief Research Officer at ESET, Roman Kov.
"This recognition demonstrates our commitment to providing top-tier cybersecurity solutions for businesses globally. At ESET, we are dedicated to empowering enterprises with cutting-edge technology that not only enhances their security posture but also reduces operational costs. The test results of the EPR Comparative report reinforce our mission to create a safer digital world for all and underscore the effectiveness of our prevention and response capabilities."
With an impressive track record of high detection rates, minimal false positives, and its intuitive design, ESET PROTECT Enterprise has been favourably described in the report. Enterprises that have transitioned to ESET have reportedly not only improved their security but significantly reduced their IT costs compared to other vendor solutions.
ESET impressed with a flawless active and passive response rate across all tested scenarios, showcasing its ability to halt and accurately report attacks automatically. Its alignment with MITRE ATT&CK tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) offers paramount support for even entry-level SOC analysts when conducting detailed investigations and escalating incidents when required.
ESET was one of only four vendors to receive the highest certification in the EPR CyberRisk Quadrant. This outstanding achievement reaffirms ESET's position as a Strategic Leader, as recognised by AV-Comparatives. The certificate provides an official seal of approval for software performance that is globally recognised, further reinforcing ESET's position within the cybersecurity sector.
