Dynatrace appoints Laura Heisman as new Chief Marketing Officer

Dynatrace, a leading entity in the realm of unified observability and security, has named Laura Heisman as their new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Successively replacing Mike Maciag, who held the role for five years, Laura will officially assume her role while Maciag offers his advisory experience until April 2024.

Laura Heisman's three-decade-long contribution in the tech world has seen her reach enterprise, developer, consumer and corporate audiences on a global scale. She was formerly the CMO at VMware, holding the reins of the company's global marketing organisation. Prior to her tenure at VMware, Laura was part of GitHub's executive leadership team as vice president of communications and corporate marketing. Furthermore, Laura dedicated more than a decade at Citrix system, fostering the company's worldwide communications and brand awareness program whilst leading as their vice president of communications.

Her pivotal role as an advocate for women in technology has distinguished her as an empathetic leader, sponsoring employee resource groups for women at VMware, GitHub and Citrix. Laura Heisman boasts a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from San Diego State University, a credential that enriches her industry experience.
