CrowdStrike wins 2024 award for best practices in cloud security

Tue, 11th Jun 2024

Frost & Sullivan has bestowed CrowdStrike with the 2024 Global Customer Value Leadership Award for Best Practices in Cloud Security. The recognition highlights CrowdStrike's ability to streamline and enhance cloud security through its unified platform, particularly via the CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security suite.

The honour reflects CrowdStrike’s comprehensive approach to cloud security, addressing the rapid surge in cloud exploitation incidents. According to the company's 2024 Global Threat Report, cases of cloud exploitation have risen by 110% over the past year. This surge underscores the need for modern, holistic cloud security solutions that can tackle the persistent threats faced by cloud environments.

Raj Rajamani, Head of Products at CrowdStrike, noted, "Adversaries are aggressively targeting cloud environments, and traditional cybersecurity tools are inadequate to help customers counter these threats. Only CrowdStrike offers visibility, prevention, and remediation across the entire cloud estate within a unified platform to halt cloud breaches. Frost & Sullivan's recognition of Falcon Cloud Security's value further validates our leadership in cloud security."

CrowdStrike's Falcon platform provides global clients with end-to-end protection, significantly reducing the need for multiple-point products. This consolidation simplifies security management and bolsters the capability to preempt and mitigate breaches.

A key aspect of CrowdStrike’s Falcon Cloud Security is its comprehensive Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP). The platform offers unified visibility and threat protection across an organisation's entire cloud infrastructure, encompassing workloads, applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), and data. This integrated approach enables security teams to identify and address high-risk threats and vulnerabilities efficiently, largely automating the prioritisation process using artificial intelligence.

“CrowdStrike’s unified cloud-native security platform’s integrated approach, combined with a focus on breach prevention and proactive support, distinguishes it from competitors,” stated Anh Tien Vu, Industry Principal in Global Cybersecurity Research at Frost & Sullivan. He added that enhancing security technology capabilities, building customer trust, and maximising the value delivered through its solutions have significantly driven CrowdStrike's adoption and revenue growth, solidifying its position as an industry leader.

Frost & Sullivan's award commends CrowdStrike's achievement in delivering innovations that align with customer needs in the cloud security landscape. The analysts conducted in-depth interviews, analyses, and extensive secondary research to identify industry best practices and measure market participants' performance.

CrowdStrike's Falcon Cloud Security excels in several critical areas:

  • Business Threat Context and AI-driven Risk Prioritisation: Utilising artificial intelligence, the platform allows security teams to quickly identify and prioritise high-risk threats, reducing the manual workload typically involved in threat assessment.
  • Consolidated Code to Cloud Protection: The platform provides unified visibility and runtime protection, negating the need for disparate cloud security products and thus reducing customers' overall costs and complexity.
  • Built to Stop Breaches: CrowdStrike features advanced runtime protection and integrates world-class threat hunting and intelligence capabilities, setting a benchmark for cloud detection and response (CDR).
