CrowdStrike awarded 2025 Google Cloud security partner

Thu, 10th Apr 2025

CrowdStrike has been recognised as the recipient of the 2025 Google Cloud Security Partner of the Year Award for the Workload Security category.

The award highlights CrowdStrike's efforts in securing cloud workloads on a large scale.

CrowdStrike has also disclosed an extension of its partnership with Google Cloud aimed at providing comprehensive security for AI innovation initiatives. This will be achieved through the use of Falcon Cloud Security, a tool designed to safeguard infrastructure, applications, and AI models functioning on Google Cloud.

This collaboration intends to deliver real-time protection across hybrid environments, helping joint customers to secure every aspect of the AI lifecycle, from development through to deployment on cloud systems.

Kevin Ichhpurani, President of the Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud, commented on the recognition, "Google Cloud's Partner Awards recognise partners who have created outsized value for customers through the delivery of innovative solutions and a high level of expertise. We're proud to announce CrowdStrike as a 2025 Google Cloud Partner Award winner and celebrate their impact enabling customer success over the past year."

The current rise in cloud intrusions, coupled with the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence, presents new security challenges for innovation in this area. Traditional security tools may not be sufficient to address the speed of modern development pipelines and the complexities of hybrid cloud environments.

As Google Cloud's Security Partner of the Year for Cloud Workload Security, CrowdStrike aims to offer expansive protection covering a diverse cloud infrastructure including workloads, applications, identities, data, SaaS, and AI models from a unified platform.

"Cloud security has never been more critical, especially as organisations accelerate AI innovation," said Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike.

"Visibility and alerts alone aren't enough – security teams need real-time protection that keeps pace with how AI workloads are built and run. CrowdStrike leads in runtime security and cloud detection and response, delivering the speed and scale demanded by modern, hybrid-cloud development. Together with Google Cloud, we're empowering customers to innovate with confidence, securing the infrastructure, data and models powering the AI revolution – with cloud security's leading solution that delivers on the promise of stopping breaches."

The expanded CrowdStrike and Google Cloud partnership incorporates enhanced cloud detection and response mechanisms, AI-powered analytics, and threat intelligence into the Falcon Cloud Security offering.

These features are designed to address and stop security breaches, whether deployed on Google Cloud or across other hybrid environments.

Further capacity has been added to secure AI development processes. CrowdStrike and Google Cloud have extended their integration to embed security tools at each phase of the software lifecycle. These include AI Image Scanning to detect vulnerabilities early, ARM64 Compliance Enforcement to maintain standards in production, and Container Escape Detection for services such as Google Cloud Run to intercept potential threats in runtime.

To complement these efforts, Falcon Cloud Security features AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM), Falcon Data Protection, and AI Red Team Services. All these aspects are geared towards comprehensive protection, ensuring AI deployment and sensitive data remain secure on Google Cloud.
