Bootcamp for critical infrastructure cybersecurity training launched
In a development that marks a significant step towards enhancing critical infrastructure protection (CIP) cybersecurity training worldwide, OPSWAT, a well-established leader in the cybersecurity solutions sector for critical environments, has announced its plans to launch OPSWAT Academy Bootcamp in 2024. This three-day, instructor-led training programme is scheduled to commence in April of the following year.
The OPSWAT Academy Bootcamp, an extension of OPSWAT Academy's existing digital offering, embodies an immersive and comprehensive training platform for the education and certification of cybersecurity professionals, aligned with the goal of protecting critical infrastructure. Having already certified over 50,000 professionals, OPSWAT Academy manifests a high standard of excellence in CIP cybersecurity training.
The tackling of cybersecurity's global nature is reflected in OPSWAT's decision to hold its inaugural in-person trainings worldwide. The sessions will commence in Dubai and will thereafter be held in Romania, the United States, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Australia, making these trainings accessible to professionals around the globe. This series of global training events signifies another step taken towards strengthening CIP cybersecurity skills on a global scale.
The Vice President of Training and Certification Services at OPSWAT, Irfan Shakeel, commented, "The goal of OPSWAT Academy Bootcamp is to empower our customers and the cybersecurity community to unlock the full potential of OPSWAT products through immersive, lab-based training programs". He added that the launch of live, instructor-led training represented a significant step in equipping cybersecurity professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective safeguarding of critical infrastructure.
The OPSWAT Academy Bootcamp encompasses a broad range of topics including policy and product configurations, deployments, adjustments and customisations. The structured curriculum aims to provide an in-depth understanding of OPSWAT products and their application in real-world scenarios. This hands-on experience will facilitate the enhancement of attendees' expertise, thus enabling them to keep pace in the fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape.
Upon successful completion of the OPSWAT Academy Bootcamp training program, attendees are bestowed with an OPSWAT Academy certification, an affirmation of their proficiency in CIP and OPSWAT products. As the cyber threat landscape changes, OPSWAT continues its dedication to providing state-of-the-art training programmes designed for professionals to protect critical infrastructure against emerging risks.
Looking into its past twenty years in the industry, OPSWAT has indeed made leaps and bounds in IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure cybersecurity. Focusing on the philosophy of "Trust no file. Trust no device.", the global IT leader provides the necessary advantage to public and private sector organisations and enterprises to secure their complex networks and ensure compliance, thereby securing the world's critical infrastructure and our way of life.
