Tue, 6th Feb 2024

Arlo Technologies, a smart home security brand, has been chosen as the winner of the Connected Home Security Camera Company of the Year award in the 8th annual IoT Breakthrough Awards programme.

This prestigious award is conferred by IoT Breakthrough, a market intelligence organisation known for recognising the global leaders in Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology.

Arlo's award-win is credited to its ecosystem of smart security products, software, and services, which uniquely integrates to ensure a comprehensive consumer security experience.

Priding itself on consumer data privacy and protection, Arlo leads the way with an array of smart cameras and video doorbells supported by the Arlo Secure app, complete with advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer vision (CV) capabilities, according to a statement. In turn, this aids the delivery of impressive smart security, empowering consumers with the capability to stay connected and respond rapidly, even from remote locations.

Arlo's singular line of products includes an array of features such as exceptional resolution, expansive fields of view, night vision, motion detection, real-time smartphone notifications, recording ability, and more. This advanced functionality makes Arlo standout, available across all its security cameras with notifications facilitated by the subscription-based Arlo Secure service for both iOS and Android systems.

The array of Arlo's offer includes the reasonably-priced Arlo Essential Series, the proficient Arlo Pro Series, along with the Arlo Ultra and the Arlo Go. Particularly notable is the latest addition to the line-up, in the form of Arlo Essential Series (2nd Generation), which proffers an Essential Outdoor Camera with enhanced 2K resolution, an Essential Indoor Camera with an automated privacy shield, and a Video Doorbell with an expansive 180-degree field of view.

Steve Johansson, managing director at IoT Breakthrough, commended Arlo's award, stating, "Arlo's range of innovative products ensure everything can be protected in a way that's customised to the user’s specific needs. Congratulations to Arlo for being Connected Home Security Camera Company of the Year."

Notably, the IoT Breakthrough Awards are aimed at conducting a thorough analysis of the global IoT industry to recognise the standout innovators, leaders, and visionaries in various IoT categories, which this year attracted thousands of nominations from around the globe.

Expressing gratitude, Matt McRae, CEO at Arlo, said: "We design products to level up smart home security while also simplifying the user experience and are extremely proud and grateful to be named the Connected Home Security Camera Company of the Year from IoT Breakthrough."
