Portnox unveils global channel push with new VP hire

Fri, 16th Jan 2026

Portnox has launched a formal global channel partner programme and appointed cybersecurity executive Kristen Knight as Vice President of Channel Sales to lead it.

The company said the programme adds structure to an existing network of more than 100 active reseller agreements worldwide. Portnox said it will focus on resellers, value-added resellers and managed security service providers.

Portnox positions its products around zero trust security. The company sells cloud-native network access control and zero trust network access products.

Knight has held senior roles at Barracuda and Mimecast. Portnox said she will oversee partner strategy in the US and international markets. The company said it plans to broaden its partner footprint through the programme.

Portnox linked the timing to shifts in enterprise IT. It cited cloud migration, artificial intelligence projects and hybrid work patterns. The company said these changes increase the range of systems and users that need security controls.

"I am thrilled to join at such a pivotal time in the company's evolution," said Kristen Knight, Vice President of Channel Sales, Portnox. "Having spent years in the legacy security space, I recognize the immense value Portnox brings for enterprises by reducing attack surfaces, realizing secure access at scale, and redefining what's possible with zero trust. Our new program is built on the philosophy of 'hands-on enablement'-we aren't just giving partners a portal; we are providing the personal training, generous incentives, and technical support they need to deliver immediate value to their customers."

Programmeme features

Portnox said the partner programme includes sales and marketing resources, training and deal support. It also sets out terms for partner incentives and deal registration.

The company said partners will receive access to "independently validated business outcomes and industry research". Portnox said these materials will support sales discussions with senior decision-makers.

Portnox also highlighted what it described as competitive annual recurring revenue streams and deal registration protections. It said partners will receive sales and technical training tailored to the Portnox Cloud platform.

Portnox said it will provide dedicated channel support. It also referenced onboarding and joint go-to-market resources for partners.

The company said it offers a software-as-a-service deployment model. Portnox said this avoids the need for on-premises hardware.

Partner strategy

Channel programmes often form a major route to market for security vendors, particularly for mid-market and enterprise deals that require integration, deployment services and ongoing management. Portnox said it expects partners to play a role in customer adoption of passwordless and zero trust approaches.

"Organisations are facing a false tradeoff: move fast with digital transformation and accept credential-based risk, or slow down for security reasons," said Denny LeCompte, Chief Executive Officer, Portnox. "Portnox eliminates that tradeoff. With Kristen leading our channel strategy, we're empowering partners to become the team that enables strategic initiatives without compromise. Our partners deliver demonstrably more secure outcomes and measurably faster results with independently validated ROI. That's security you can prove, not just promise."

Portnox said it will continue to build out its partner ecosystem through specific tracks, including managed services. Knight will lead the programme's expansion as Portnox seeks additional partners across its target markets.
