Orro secures Liquid IT in first overseas expansion
Orro, a renowned provider of platform-enabled secure networks and digital infrastructure in Australia, has announced the arrival of Liquid IT—a first-rate IT infrastructure-based in Wellington, New Zealand—under its umbrella. Interestingly, this move conclusively marks the Australian giant's first geographical expansion outside the national borders.
Orro is a leading Australian technology partner with deep expertise in cyber security and the design, construction and operation of secure networks and digital infrastructure. Orro's managed security and network services, as well as cloud and workspace solutions deliver greater efficiency, performance and resilience to its business customers.
The acquisition will seemingly equip Orro to offer faster, simpler, and more secure managed service solutions in both Australia and New Zealand. This development significantly coincides with Orro's growth strategy to evolve into an integrated full-stack service provider.
Liquid is a New Zealand owned information technology services and capability provider. Liquid's experience and connections allow the company to constantly research, evaluate and broker the market to offer clients "best of breed and best practice" services and capabilities – all with the highest levels of responsiveness and focus.
Liquid IT, since its inception in 2015, has been fervently delivering high-standard IT solutions to its loyal customers across New Zealand, strengthening its stronghold in cyber security supplies and services, cloud solutions, and connectivity facilities. Also, it actively services customers from multiple industries - from Government bodies and Public Services to the Transportation sector.
Daniel Greengarten, the CEO of Orro, expressed his delight in their first international expansion, saying, "We are pleased to welcome Liquid to our family. This acquisition is another milestone in our growth strategy... with strength and expertise across New Zealand, we look forward to collaborating with the Liquid team..." He further accentuated the companies' shared aim to replace traditional isolated IT services with more fluid and versatile solutions.
Nick Halikias, director at Liquid IT, reciprocated the excitement, pointing out that both Orro and Liquid have a shared objective to simplify IT and managed services. He enthusiastically voiced, "Joining forces with Orro enables us to take this goal to the next level and we're excited to see what comes next."
The two leading-edge challengers in their respective markets aim to continue to reshape managed services, whilst marrying their local grasp with global proficiency. This collaborative effort is schemed to provide their customers with consistent support and trailblazing solutions.
As part of this acquisition, Liquid's 45 employees will be retained. They will be working in close cooperation with the Orro team to optimally utilise their combined expertise and capacities to provide high-performing solutions across networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and unified communications.
