Jamf has announced its participation in the Okta Elevate Partner Program, aiming to strengthen their collaborative efforts in the market and enhance product innovation.

This partnership focuses on synergising Jamf's Apple device management and security capabilities with Okta's identity and access management solutions.

The collaboration between Jamf and Okta highlights their shared vision of providing a seamless and secure cloud identity experience for Apple device users that does not impede productivity. "We have a long history of innovating with Okta to meet the evolving needs of our joint customers. We're excited to take the next step on our journey together," expressed Henry Patel, Chief Strategy Officer at Jamf.

He continued by emphasising the benefits for joint customers, stating, "With Okta as the identity provider and Jamf as the management and security solution, joint customers can offer their end users uninterrupted and productive workflows, anywhere and anytime."

Okta's Vice President of Technical Strategy and Partnerships, Stephen Lee, echoed this enthusiasm, saying, "We're thrilled to have Jamf join the Okta Elevate Partner Program so our teams can accelerate our co-selling and co-marketing efforts. Together, we've built a truly best-of-breed solution from endpoint to identity on the Apple platform. We're excited to continue working with Jamf as we look to grow our business in the Apple device market."

Jamf and Okta have previously collaborated on initiatives such as support for Apple's Platform Single Sign-On, showcasing their ability to swiftly innovate in response to customer needs. Data from the annual Okta Businesses at Work report indicates that Jamf is one of the most utilised applications among organisations using Okta, underlining the relevance of their integrated solutions.

The joint technological efforts of Jamf and Okta aim to deliver several key benefits for customers:

  • Enhanced security through multi-factor authentication and passwordless single sign-on
  • Seamless device enrolment using Enrollment SSO
  • Improved productivity via uninterrupted workflows with fewer sign-ins through PSSO
  • Continuous conditional access, adjusting user permissions based on security status changes
  • Easy access to company resources and applications

This new phase of the partnership is poised to offer a more integrated and robust solution for securing and managing Apple devices within organisations, making it easier for IT departments to maintain security protocols without sacrificing user experience.
