Inde selects LogRhythm to drive security ops

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Inde, a New Zealand-headquartered, cloud-first managed services provider has announced that it will deploy LogRhythm's NextGen SIEM Platform to strengthen the technology maturity of its security operations centre (SOC) and support the cyber defences of its expanding base of Trans-Tasman customers.

The product has been made available through Chillisoft, LogRhythm's cybersecurity solutions distributor in New Zealand, which will provide Inde with ongoing pre and post-sales technical training, sales, and marketing support to deliver customer success.

The LogRhythm NextGen SIEM Platform enables companies to uncover threats and minimise risks all within a unified platform which is at the centre of SOCs worldwide.

It combines machine-based analytics, UEBA, network detection and response (NDR), and security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) in a single platform.

“We have exceptional technical people working with our enterprise customers and they need to have the best tools at their disposal. That led us to selecting LogRhythm as the right platform to drive our SOC,” says Inde security architect Scott Parker (pictured above).

“Its ability to scale, handle large volumes and respond to network anomalies were all important to delivering the right outcomes for our customers. At the same time, LogRhythm's automation functionality enables SOC management to remove manual processes, freeing up valuable time for our expert staff to focus on other critical security endeavours.

LogRhythm's SIEM software can aggregate data from multiple sources and analyse and act upon security alerts generated by the network and system.

“We work with some large, well-known brands so LogRhythm's Gartner validation provided us with the confidence that we were working with a cybersecurity leader who could be trusted to reinforce the security infrastructure that our customers need to run their businesses,” adds Parker.

Earlier this year, LogRhythm was highlighted as a Leader in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM for the eighth consecutive year.

The company was also recognised as a 2019 Gartner Peer Insights Customers' Choice for SIEM for the third consecutive time.

“During COVID-19, not only have we seen an increase in remote working but we've also witnessed a spike in phishing attacks by cyber criminals who have sought to take advantage of CISOs striving to protect a blended workforce which is both working from home as well as in head office locations. In this scenario, it is critical to have an experienced SOC with the technology, cyber knowledge and expertise to support business continuity and remediate potential attacks,” says Chilisoft CEO Alex Teh.

“We have an existing relationship with Inde and first engaged with them for LogRhythm through a proof of concept project. During this time, we worked closely with their technical experts to ensure that their existing SOC architecture would provide for seamless integration with LogRhythm. We are excited to work with Inde on behalf of LogRhythm family and to enhance their technical capabilities and overall customer offering.

LogRhythm, Chillisoft and Inde will jointly introduce the LogRhythm feature functionality service to New Zealand businesses through a series of virtual forums in August.
