DC signs exclusive NetApp distribution deal

Distribution Central (DC) has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with NetApp to deliver its storage and data management solutions to the New Zealand channel.

Effective from September, the deal sees DC deliver all NetApp solutions across the country, supported by the company services such as certification training, pre-sales technical support, staging and configuration, and asset management through Annuity Systems.

“Distribution Central has successfully delivered NetApp solutions to the Australian channel for four years and was last year appointed distributor in Singapore. We have enabled the NetApp channel through our extensive reseller support services and our goal is to extend this success to the New Zealand reseller channel,” said Nick Verykios, Managing Director, Distribution Central.

“Distribution in New Zealand is a logical next step for both Distribution Central and also NetApp, as we can draw on our experience, resources and innovative custom- built online tools, solutions and services to better enable and support the New Zealand NetApp channel, such as our online FlexPod configurator and DC PodFactory pod configuration and staging service” said Verykios.

Currently distributing a range of solutions in New Zealand including Fortinet, HP and Jabra, DC says it offers NetApp’s Kiwi partners several cross-sell opportunities available through complementary vendors including Quantum, Cloupia, Syncsort, Riverbed and Varonis.

“Following NetApp’s success with Distribution Central in the Australian market, regional alignment with a single distributor across Australia and New Zealand was the natural next step,” says Todd Parsons, channel and marketing director, NetApp ANZ.

“We are confident that streamlining our partnership with Distribution Central regionally will further improve our ability to support the reseller channel.”
