AvePoint completes acquisition of Ydentic to boost MSP growth

Today

AvePoint has announced the completion of its acquisition of Ydentic, a company that specialises in centralised multi-tenant management for Managed Services Providers (MSPs). This acquisition is part of AvePoint's strategy to enhance its MSP platform, known as Elements, by improving profitability, operational efficiency, scalability, and creating new security-focused recurring revenue streams.

Ydentic offers MSPs advanced software that automates IT management tasks and boosts process efficiency, providing full control to its customers. The integration of Ydentic's automated solutions is expected to help MSPs create more value, cut operating costs, and eliminate knowledge gaps among employees. With industry research firm Canalys projecting a 15 percent growth in cybersecurity managed services to over USD $80 billion, this acquisition highlights AvePoint's ongoing investment in its channel business.

Dr. Tianyi Jiang (TJ), Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of AvePoint, commented on the acquisition, saying, "We are thrilled to welcome Jorn Wittendorp and the Ydentic team to AvePoint. This acquisition aligns perfectly with our strategic priority to scale and expand our channel ecosystem. Together, we will enhance automation, service management, and reporting and data insights capabilities for MSPs, creating further competitive differentiation and economic opportunity for our channel partners."

Ydentic, established in 2017, provides MSPs with modern technology solutions that streamline IT tasks, ultimately fostering value creation and cost reduction. The company's recent recognition by Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 programme in the Netherlands attests to its significant growth and expertise in the domain.

Jorn Wittendorp, Founder and CEO of Ydentic, expressed his enthusiasm for the merger, stating, "Joining forces with AvePoint is a tremendous opportunity for Ydentic. Modern MSPs require modern technology solutions to manage, scale, and grow their practices. Our shared vision of empowering MSPs with cutting-edge technology and automation will drive significant value for our customers and AvePoint's growing channel business."

AvePoint sees this acquisition as a step toward transforming its Elements platform into a leading MSP solution, focusing on data, access, and endpoint security. The rising importance of cybersecurity in the era of AI underscores the significance of this strategic move.

The acquisition is expected to be finalised by the end of January 2025. AvePoint continues to strengthen its position in the industry, supporting over 21,000 customers worldwide across various digital collaboration platforms, including Microsoft, Google, and Salesforce. The company collaborates with more than 3,500 managed service providers, value-added resellers, and systems integrators, offering solutions available in over 100 cloud marketplaces.
