Avast partners with Ingram Micro to expand New Zealand focus
Avast has announced that its Small Business Solutions will be distributed in New Zealand through Ingram Micro, expanding the range of cybersecurity options available to small businesses.
For over two decades, Ingram Micro has been distributing Norton in New Zealand, also part of the Gen portfolio. The distributor will introduce Avast Essential Business Security, Avast Premium Business Security, and Avast Ultimate Business Security in the next quarter, providing local resellers with more comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.
Mark Gorrie, Managing Director of Gen APAC, highlighted the importance of this development. "Our joint expertise and support will provide Kiwi resellers with the tools they need to enable their small business customers to thrive in an increasingly complex digital landscape. We have a long history of working successfully together and are confident that Ingram Micro is the right company to support our strategic growth in the region," he said.
Gorrie also emphasised the support that will accompany this launch. "We'll have a full programme of education, training, events and roadshows to ensure that resellers and retailers are able to confidently offer Avast Small Business Solutions to their customers," he added.
Elaborating on the advantages, Gorrie stated, "Avast Business customers in New Zealand will benefit from the combined technical capabilities of the full Gen family of brands including Avast, Norton, AVG, and Avira as well as our extensive threat intelligence network of 500 million users of Gen technology. This significant global and local footprint helps keep our small business customers one step ahead of emerging threats."
Avast Business provides a suite of cybersecurity solutions tailored for small and expanding businesses, allowing them to manage devices through a centralised dashboard that safeguards software, data, and devices.
The features of Avast Business products include a single management dashboard, multi-tenant support, device and policy management, import/export of policies, comprehensive reporting, alerts and notifications, master agent, real-time commands, network discovery with remote deployment, and a business API gateway.
Customers also have the option to add solutions such as Avast Business Patch Management, Avast Business Premium Remote Control, and Avast Business Cloud Backup.
Leon De Suza, Managing Director at Ingram Micro New Zealand, remarked on the collaboration. "Making Avast Business products available through Ingram Micro New Zealand aligns with our dedication to supporting the security needs of small businesses in New Zealand," he commented. "This collaboration bolsters our cybersecurity offerings and will help deliver even more comprehensive solutions to our valued reseller partners and their customers."
