Atturra & EncompaaS partner to accelerate agentic AI adoption
Atturra and EncompaaS have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at supporting organisations across Australia and New Zealand as they transition to agentic artificial intelligence in enterprise operations. The collaboration is designed to bring together EncompaaS' data-preparation platform with Atturra's consulting and delivery capabilities, targeting the growing need for robust data foundations as enterprises advance beyond AI proof-of-concepts to real-world deployments.
Enterprise demand
The partnership comes amid increasing interest from sectors including defence, government, education, and manufacturing in harnessing generative AI and automation at scale. As organisations look to integrate agentic AI technologies into their core processes, there is mounting pressure to address data quality, visibility and governance challenges.
EncompaaS' platform is described as a Microsoft-native solution, deployed within an organisation's own Azure environment. Its primary function is to prepare, classify, enrich, and govern both structured and unstructured data across different repositories. This capability is intended to ensure that tools such as Copilot, Fabric, and Purview operate with reliable and secure business data, while organisations maintain control over their information assets.
Joint offering
The joint services will assist organisations in identifying and connecting disparate data sources across legacy and cloud platforms. It aims to provide transparent, end-to-end visibility, as well as preparing and governing data to ensure it is of sufficient quality for agentic AI, automation, and further business process changes. In addition, the partners will focus on supporting clients to embed sustained information management and data governance, preventing the risk of short-term technical experiments that fail to deliver lasting value.
Jesse Todd, CEO of EncompaaS, said the next phase of AI adoption requires a deeper transformation within organisations:
"In this next phase of AI adoption, success isn't about buying another canned solution. It's about deeply rethinking how your organisation operates - the processes, roles, decisions - and making sure your data is ready to support that. Our platform ensures an AI-ready data foundation exists; by partnering with Atturra, we're enabling organisations to move from ambition to outcome."
Data governance
Mark Frear, General Manager of Enterprise Information Management at Atturra, highlighted the importance of strong governance and continuous curation of information. He said:
"EncompaaS is the ideal complement to Atturra's EIM practice - automating the clean-up, enhancement, and continuous curation of years of unmanaged content across any repository. It delivers a secure information foundation that can be safely leveraged by EncompaaS AI or any AI agent. Governance is no longer about what we keep. It's about what we can safely use. By cleaning up the past and curating information in real time, organisations lower cost, reduce risk, and unlock AI value."
Frear also noted the commercial benefits for clients. "With Atturra's proven record in helping hundreds of clients extract value from structured and unstructured information, this partnership enables organisations to turn information into a true strategic asset." said Frear.
Portfolio expansion
Atturra's CEO, Stephen Kowal, commented on the wider significance of the alliance for the firm's service lines. "Our partnership with EncompaaS further expands Atturra's portfolio of AI-led offerings to help clients innovate with trusted, Australian-built solutions and services. By combining Atturra's industry expertise with EncompaaS' platform, organisations will have the confidence to deliver real outcomes using Artificial Intelligence," said Kowal.
