Absolute Software extends persistence technology to Trellix

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Absolute Software, the provider of self-healing, intelligent security solutions, has partnered with Trellix by extending its patented Absolute Persistence technology to Trellix Endpoint Security.

With this latest addition, joint customers [of both companies] can leverage the power of Absolute’s firmware-embedded connection to ensure Trellix’s leading endpoint protection solution remains healthy, installed, and working effectively.

Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) is part of an integrated suite of technologies that uses analytics and machine learning to identify and prevent new malware.

Machine-learning behaviour classification detects zero-day threats in near real-time, enabling actionable threat intelligence. It automatically evolves behaviour classification to identify behaviours and adds rules to identify future attacks.

ENS also protects users' productivity with a common service layer and its new anti-malware core engine, which helps reduce the amount of resources and power required by a user’s system. An adaptive scanning process reduces CPU demands by learning which processes, and sources are trusted, to focus resources on only those that appear suspicious or those coming from unknown sources.

With ENS, customers can take a proactive approach by minimising the attack surface and maximising their ability to stop incidents before they start. It's true centralised management offers greater visibility, simplifies operations, boosts IT productivity, unifies security and reduces costs.

It also gives protection against emerging and advanced threats while securing the remote workforce with powerful, near-real-time threat detection and response.

It also simplifies and streamlines security effectiveness with a centralised console that spans hundreds of thousands of endpoints.

Meanwhile, anchored by its unique Persistence technology, embedded in more than 600 million endpoints, Absolute provides an undeletable digital tether to every device. This helps ensure the highest levels of resiliency.

Absolute Application Resilience leverages this unbreakable, two-way connection to monitor mission-critical security applications’ health and behaviour; detect if missing, corrupted, or not running; and automatically repair or reinstall components when necessary, without requiring human intervention.

Absolute's Application Resilience catalogue comprises more than 60 security and business applications needed to enable a secure, reliable, and resilient work from anywhere experience.

“Our unique intelligence shows that today’s complex and widely distributed device environments have put endpoint agents at constant risk of colliding with other applications, or being disabled by malicious or negligent users,” says Edward Choi, Senior Vice President of Global Alliances at Absolute Software.
“By joining our Application Resilience ecosystem, Trellix is taking the critical steps needed to enable our joint customers harden their mission-critical endpoint application and strengthen their overall endpoint security posture.”

Britt Norwood, Senior Vice President, Global Channels and Commercial at Trellix adds, “We are proud to collaborate with leading software vendors to improve security outcomes for our customers. Organisations across the globe rely on Trellix every day to protect, and adapt to, their changing business needs in a dynamic threat landscape. We are thrilled to see Absolute Software support Trellix ENS in its Application Resilience ecosystem and extend this value to our joint customers.”
