Distributor Ingram Micro has announced the appointment of Leon De Suza as the new Managing Director for its New Zealand operations on March 27, 2024. De Suza’s promotion comes after an 18-year commitment to Ingram Micro and is deemed an outcome of his impressive work record and vast business know-how.

Tim Ament, Chief Country Executive for ANZ at Ingram Micro, praised De Suza's abilities and track record. He stated, "Leon’s proven record of driving growth and fostering strong relationships with partners positions him as the ideal leader to spearhead our go-to-market teams in New Zealand. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise. His diverse experience includes various roles within the New Zealand Consumer and Commercial divisions, showcasing his deep understanding of the local market dynamics and customer needs."

Ingram Micro New Zealand's decision to appoint De Suza as the new Managing Director follows the exit of Jason Langley from the role. Langley served the company for 11 years, including the last four as Ingram Micro New Zealand’s Managing Director. He has chosen to step down to venture into a new phase of his professional life.

Ament also expressed his gratitude towards Langley for his leadership and contribution. He said, "I am grateful to Jason for his leadership and contribution to Ingram Micro New Zealand for more than one decade." Ament also took this opportunity to congratulate De Suza on his promotion, stating, "I also want to congratulate Leon on his well-deserved promotion."
