Marvel's Spider-Man is an excellent game and the title has received its last DLC pack called ‘Silver Lining'. In this new DLC, Spider-Man crosses paths with both Silver Sable and Hammerhead.
The first DLC remains to be my favourite mainly because Spider-Man's interactions with Black Cat were so cute and entertaining. The second DLC called ‘Turf Wars' was more rudimentary as Spider-Man just had to fight off against Hammerhead's goons.
The ‘Silver Lining' DLC is an improvement over ‘Turf Wars' mainly because it serves as a proper conclusion to the entire game. Not only is the main story fun to play through, but Spider-Man also ties up loose ends with the side missions too.
The story is interesting because Silver Sable is thought to be an antagonist to Spider-Man at the start of the DLC, but then the two find out Hammerhead is the real bad guy so they team up to fight him.
The best thing I like about the duo of Silver Sable and Spider-Man is when they team up to face Hammerhead at the boss fight at the end. Silver Sable and Spider-Man use some pretty cool looking tag-team moves to fight both Hammerhead and his army of goons.
Aside from the new tag-team moves, the rest of the DLC just sees Spider-Man fighting lots of Hammerhead's men throughout the city. There's not much else I can say about it because it's pretty similar to the rest of the game.
The only noteworthy thing to mention is that Spider-Man finally sees a conclusion to his feud with Screwball. If you complete all of Screwball's challenges, you finally meet the unique villain and you have to chase her down all over New York City in order to arrest her.
In terms of new content, Spider-Man has access to a few new suits that he can wear. The suits include a cyborg suit, a special armoured suit as well as the suit from the movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Probably the most popular attire for Spider-Man is the newly added Sam Raimi suit from the original movie trilogy. I may not have liked Tobey Maguire's version of Spider-Man, but I must say the suit always looked impressive to me.
Anyway, ‘Silver Lining' is a fun conclusion to the Marvel's Spider-Man video game. It's best for you to get all DLC packs if you want a complete story. Sure the DLC only lasts less than two hours long, but its short length doesn't ruin the overall experience.
